The Heritage Centre
The Heritage Centre at St. Hilary tells the fascinating story of the church and its historic connections with St Michael’s Mount. Its rich history spans from prehistoric times to the present day, and the church holds unique links to West Cornwall’s literary and artistic heritage, particularly the Newlyn Artists. Artists such as the Procters, Harveys, Knights, Garstins, and Walkes all contributed to a distinctive scheme of church decoration, which has earned St. Hilary its Grade I listing.
The Heritage Centre is open from May to the end of September on Wednesdays, with refreshments available, and at other times by pre-booked appointment. For more information or to book a visit, please contact 01326 560970.
