Young People
At St. Hilary Church, we are passionate about being inclusive of young people, welcoming them as a vital and valued part of our church family. We encourage their participation in every aspect of church life—through worship, music, service, and shared gatherings—so their voices, ideas, and gifts can shine. We believe that faith grows best when everyone feels seen, heard, and supported, no matter their age or background. Safeguarding and care are at the heart of all we do, ensuring that St. Hilary is a safe, nurturing space where young people can belong, grow in confidence, and explore their faith within a loving community.

Our Young Explorers met this week and explored the story of the Good Samaritan. I’m told it was one of their best sessions yet, with the children fully engaged and attentive throughout. The theme of “Kind hands, kind hearts” resonated deeply, as the children reflected not only on helping others in need, but also on showing compassion, empathy, and understanding in everyday actions. Young Explorers
At St Hilary Church we invite all primary school–aged children to join our Young Explorers group.
We meet every two weeks after school, from 3:30pm, for a fun and friendly time filled with games, crafts, stories, and laughter. It’s the perfect way to unwind after the school day, make new friends, and explore exciting themes about life, faith, and the world around us.
Snacks and drinks are included, so just bring your energy, curiosity, and a big smile—everyone is welcome at Young Explorers!

Open The Book
St Hilary Church has an excellent relationship with St. Hilary School, which is strengthened through Open the Book, a programme that brings Bible stories to life during school assemblies. Open the Book uses carefully written scripts that storytellers follow closely, ensuring that every story is shared clearly, respectfully, and in a way that’s accessible to everyone.
